What I've Learned

Today, I had lunch with someone (who will now be referred to as 'she' or 'her') who gave me some random information about marriage and sex (yes... I said it). I'm not even sure if this advice refers to marriage, sex (yes I said it again), or just guys. But she said guys are intrigued by.... (wait for it).... butt holes?!?!?!?! Out of all the parts of a woman, guys are intrigued by the most disgusting part of your body?

So, this made me think of all the other advice (or information) people have given me thus far:

1. (This is the most common) Don't go to bed angry. Doesn't everyone already know that? I think the people who gave this advice couldn't think of anything else to say. If you are reading this and you have given me this advice, I am not referring to you:)

2. Do go to bed angry, makeup sex in the morning is the best. I still can't believe I have already said 'sex' three times in this one post. It gets easier and easier to say: sex, sex, sex, sex. I don't know if I am going to go by this advice, I don't sleep at all if I'm mad. I think of all the things I could have said to that person (usually I'm in argument mode in my head so it's nothing positive).

3. Always date your husband; there will always be a prettier, younger man wanting your man. Yes, you heard it right, someone actually gave this advice. But it's the one that sticks in my head the most:) cause it's funny. So I guess this means I need to always look good for and take care of him. Which reminds me... (I am going to stop for a second on my list of advice)

Yesterday, I made an appointment that I'm not so sure about. It's next Wednesday at 9:00 am. I'm extremely nervous about it and have been googling ways to help cope with the appointment.

I am getting a bikini and leg wax.

You are thinking one of two things: (a) what?!?!?! you haven't gotten a bikini wax before? or (b) what?!?!?! you're getting a bikini wax?

I hate the itchy red spots I get when I shave so I figured, "If I am ever going to do this, now is the time and this is the place." This is how I know to prepare for this big event in my life: do it a couple days in advance for the swelling and redness to go down (swelling?!?!?!), take ibuprofen (I'm thinking I'll need something stronger), and don't shave. How are you not supposed to shave in the summer time? Especially my legs; I am still wearing shorts.

I'll let you know how my appointment goes- just thinking about it makes my heart beat faster and slightly takes my breath away.

(Back to my advice)

4. (I'm still concerned about the butt hole issue so I am trying to think of other advice I've gotten) There will be hard times but if you stick through it, it gets better. Good advice.

5. There will be times that your friendship will get you through the marriage. Other times, it will be the commitment you made to each other. Sometimes, it is just be the sex (I'm getting good at saying it). But most of the time, it will be all three.

I have received a ton of advice but these are the highlights. If anyone is actually reading my blog- feel free to give advice. Lord knows I need it.

I'm not a ________ anymore!!!

It's true... I have succumbed to blogging. I am no longer a blogger virgin. Not sure why I have decided to blog but lucky for you- I'm doing it! I'm a teacher, so it's not like I'm busy... right? I promise to take time out of my crazy, busy, beautiful life to blog at least two times a week. I have also promised to work out at least three times a week, that hasn't happened yet, so we will see how long this lasts. I do not promise to use proper grammer or spelling, but I will try my best:).

My hope for you is that you find peace, joy, love and hope by merely reading this.

It's way past my bedtime so I'll try to write more tomorrow.
